Winter Storm Approaches by Originalbossman Winter Storm Approaches by Originalbossman
Just over the Mackinaw bridge I came out of this snow storm. Found a spot and took this shot. Three exposures layered and not much else. Used my new cokin p system with a warming filter and a sunset filter over it. It was getting late in the day as you can see and the weather was not really that good except for this little window. Freezing by the way. At 24 degrees my steel tiltall tripod was painful to use. I think it was worth it.

hmmm, critique, i suck at this. umm, i think that the image would have been more effective to me if you had not photographed the trees and went down to the beach to get this shot (which is very pretty by the way :D ) and then this shot would have been amazing :)

I agree. I just couldn't get down there in time and there was no access from this area. Thanks

I love the simplicity of it: just shades of red, orange and black... :sun:

Nice work! I like the color. Did you happen to get a graduated neutral density filter with your P system? I like the silhouettes and if you were to shoot something like this earlier in the day and wanted to reduce the light of the sky but keep the forground details that's the way to go

Nice work! :+fav:

I have a graduated blue and a sunset filter which is kinda graduated but no gray ones yet. One day when I have more money. I will just use a circular polarizer and the P system to get less light for the time being. Thanks.
